Admissions At Blossom Wood Day School
Call the school office to obtain a financial aid form. Early decision for financial aid is April 17th.
BWDS will admit children of families living in the St. Louis metropolitan area. All prospective parents are required to tour the school and submit an application for admission along with the required non-refundable fee. Upon review of the application, an interview will be scheduled with parents. A classroom visit and assessment will be arranged for perspective students and admission finalized. Admissions take place on a rolling basis during the year. Most classes however are filled by early spring for the next academic year.
Enrollment
BWDS offers a comprehensive, progressive program for students enrolled and the admissions contract includes the agreement that parents will commit to enrollment for the full school year. Admission for the year is effective when the enrollment agreement acceptance form is signed. In the event that a child must be withdrawn, tuition for the remainder of the academic year becomes due and payable in full immediately. The school cannot accommodate parents who wish to withdraw without full payment after the allotted time provided on the enrollment agreement. Families receiving subsidy through the Division of Family Services may withdraw without penalty with a written two week notice. Parents are responsible for the full co-payment and /or sliding scale fees for the month. The Director of Finance should be contacted for additional questions.
Continued Enrollment
Families must apply for admission each year. Continued admission will be based upon the following:
a. Has your child(ren) benefited from the curriculum and school community at Blossom Wood.
b. Have parents willingly participated in efforts sponsored by the Parents in Partnership Organization, school-sponsored fundraisers, volunteered at least twenty (20) hours of service to school activities, been positive, cooperative, and supportive of the school's philosophy and mission.
c. Have parents exhibited their commitment to the financial responsibilities required by meeting tuition and fee obligations in a timely manner. Admission is determined annually and there is no guarantee of admission for any future year.
